Programs that improve the health of newborns have to be as important as any other health initiative. The data from the Moms2B reported in the discussion is remarkable. So this program seems to be extremely worthwhile.
I am curious about your use of the term “racist.” The implication seemed to be that because black slaves were not healthy, because they were not fed well and families were not kept nuclear, and they did not get good medical treatment (Who did in those days.), the racism of the Democratic Party back then is part of the reason for their relatively bad health today. That seems a stretch, though far be it from me to defend the Democrats. So who are the racists today that perpetuate the problem? To have racism, doesn’t there have to be racists. There were a lot of reasons identified for the state of affairs, and you popped the question, Jack, what is the solution? I didn’t hear much on that except show more respect, make Dr.s do that too, vote and provide financing. But the real solution is the Mom2B program for all who need it.
