I’m Jack D’Aurora, a business lawyer and partner with the Behal Law Group. I help our clients with business transactions and, if need be, represent them in court.
A native of Steubenville, Ohio, I graduated from Notre Dame and was commissioned in the U.S. Navy in 1977. I received my Naval Flight Officer wings in 1978 and was assigned to an F-14 squadron in San Diego in 1979. During two western Pacific deployments, I logged over 300 carrier-arrested landings with Fighter Squadron 51 aboard the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk.
I began my law studies at night in 1983 while still serving on active duty in Washington, D.C. After graduating from the Georgetown Law Center, I returned to San Diego, where I practiced law from 1987 to 1991 and flew with reserve F-14 squadrons.
I came to Columbus in 1991 and am active in the community. I am a member of the Columbus Bar Association’s Lawyer’s Quarterly editorial board, a former member of the Children’s Hunger Alliance Central Ohio Board, active in the Kiwanis Club of Columbus, and I handle pro bono cases through the Lawyers for Justice Program and Legal Aide.
I look for opportunities to speak in public about the subjects I cover on this blog. You can reach me at jdaurora@behallaw.com.
Jack also co-produces a podcast with his colleague John Gonsalez, in which the two tackle the legal and social issues behind current news events.
